Dr. Joy Ehiwuogu-Onyibe holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) Degree in Microbiology from the University of Ibadan and she is currently the Deputy Director heading Molecular Biology and Genetics Division, Biotechnology Department, Federal Institute of Industrial Research, Oshodi (FIIRO). She is a Researcher, Product quality and laboratory Management Expert, an experienced Trainer and Mentor, with about thirty (30) years of technical and management experience at different levels of leadership in both private and public companies/institutions. In Mountain Top University (MTU), Dr Joy Ehiwuogu-Onyibe was a Visiting Lecturer (2016) and is now on Sabbatical Appointment in the Biological Sciences Department, College of Applied and Basic Sciences. At MTU, she is serving as a Lecturer, a College of Basic and Applied Sciences Board Member, a Students Disciplinary Committee Member, an Ag. Director of Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme Centre, etc. As an active impact-driven professional, she is presently the President of the Association of Industrial Microbiologists of Nigeria (AIMN); a fellow of the Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria (IPAN), a Member of American Society for Microbiology (ASM), a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST), and one of the founding Editors of Analytical Journal (2011-2015). During her B. Sc. Undergraduate period, she was a Majority Leader representing Queens Hall, University of Ibadan Students Representative Council (1984/85), and Vice President, University of Ibadan Students Union (1985/86). Dr. Joy Ehiwuogu-Onyibe has over 20 publications in Learned Journals and Conference Proceedings, and more than 20 seminar/ training/workshop presented papers.
