Mountain Top University Wins National Campus Debate Competition
We are proud to announce that Mountain Top University (MTU), Ibafo, Ogun State, has emerged as the South-West Zonal Champion in the notable 2025 National Campus Debate Competition, organised by the National Orientation Agency (NOA).
After securing first place at the Ogun State level, MTU’s debate team competed against top institutions from across the South-West geopolitical zone, including Lagos State University, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, and the University of Medical Sciences. The zonal contest, held at the June 12 Cultural Centre in Abeokuta, featured compelling arguments on the theme: “Unity in Diversity: Defining Nigerians Identity in Nigeria's Multicultural Society.”
MTU’s representative captured the judges with their eloquence, clarity of thought, and historical insight, earning them a well-deserved spot at the national finals.
This victory reflects MTU’s unwavering commitment to nurturing intellectually sound students. It also reinforces our mission to raise leaders who will shape society with godly values, critical thinking, and a passion for positive change.
