T he General Overseer, Moun-tain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Dr Dan-iel Kolawole Olukoya, recently took a giant stride towards student welfarism on the 29th of March, 2021 by com-missioning a new ultra-modern male hostel, Daniel (New) Hall, in Moun-tain Top University (MTU). The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Elijah Ayola-bi, with other Principal Officers, the Registrar, Mr. Olufemi Oyewole, the Bursar, Mr. Shola Olagundoye and the University Librarian, Dr. (Mrs) H.O.D. Akinade, were all on ground at the great occasion. Deans of Col-leges, Directors of Centres, members of staff and students were not left out at the glorious occasion.
The special guest of honour for the day, The General Overseer of Moun-tain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Dr. D.K. Olukoya, who was ably represented by the Assistant General Overseer, Research and Plan-ning, Pastor Abiodun Ladejola, in his opening remarks, thanked God al-mighty for making it possible for MTU to start and complete the con-struction of the wonderful edifice and enjoined all to offer praises unto God even as they expect more of His blessings. Pastor Ladejola noted that the fact that no casualties, deaths or injuries to workers were recorded during the course of the construction was reason enough to offer thanksgiv-ing to God. He, therefore, proceeded to offer songs of praises and thanks-giving to God almighty. The man of
God thereafter offered prayers to God for the sanctifi-cation of the new building and for the safety of stu-dents set to occupy the rooms. In his brief exhorta-tion, he read from the book of Psalms 92:1. He en-couraged the habit of ceaseless thanks to God saying that, in return, God gives more grace for greater ex-ploits. He concluded the short exhortation with pray-ers for members of the Management Staff and for everyone who has been instrumental to the comple-tion of the structure.
The highpoint of the occasion was the ribbon cutting and official opening of the Daniel (New) Hall, by the special guest of Honour, Pas-tor Ladejola (representing the General Overseer). This was done with great fan-fare amidst prayers, rounds of applause and a special rendition of the Alleluia cho-rus by the University Choir.
A tour of the building was led by the Building Engineer in charge of the project, Mr. Adeyemi Oluwadamilare (Architouch), as prayers were offered on every floor of the building. The new ultra-modern hostel has a total of 100 rooms with integrated bathroom and toilet facili-ties in each room. The total carrying ca-pacity of the hostel is estimated at 400 bed spaces with laundry rooms, common
rooms and a devotion hall, all in situ. The facilities are indeed world class with the provision of various safety devices in the event of any health hazard or fire incident.
The event was brought to an end with special prayers for power and grace for exploits on the entire Management, Staff and Students of Mountain Top University made by the special guest of honour, Dr D.K. Olukoya, ably represented by Pastor Ladejola. It was indeed a glorious occasion. To God be all the glory!
