Welcome to the Department of Accounting and Finance (DAF), Mountain Top University (MTU). DAF is among the first departments established in 2015 in the College of Humanities, Management and Social Sciences (CHMS) of the University (MTU). At the beginning, the Department operated two-degree programmes which include B.Sc. Accounting, and B.Sc. Banking and Finance. The two courses were accredited by the NUC in 2018. In 2020, the Banking and Finance programme was changed to B.Sc. Finance to broaden the career opportunities for the students in line with the global financial developments. In the same year 2020, the number of programmes increased to THREE with the addition of B.Sc. Securities and Investment. We have the state-of-the-art Accounting Laboratory technology loaded with the latest accounting packages like QuickBooks, Sage, Power Bi, E-View, and other statistical tools to make our students globally competitive.
