Biography:

Mr. Shola R. Olagundoye, is the Bursar of the Mountain Top University.


He is an alumnus of the University of Massachusetts, Boston, USA where he studied Accounting and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in 1983. He thereafter attended Anna Maria College, Paxton, Mass, USA and earned a Masters degree in Business Administration with specialty in Finance, in 1985.


He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.


Mr. Olagundoye began his accounting career as an intern at the Boston Housing Authority, Boston, USA where he worked from 1983 to 1984. He also worked as Part-Time Instructor at the Roxbury Community, College, Boston, Massachusetts where he taught Algebra and Financial Accounting between 1983 and 1985.


On his return to Nigeria in 1985, he underwent the mandatory National Youth Service Corp (N.Y.S.C.) programme serving in the Control Section of Corporate Banking Division at the Corporate Headquarters of First Bank Nigeria Plc, Marina, Lagos from 1985 to 1986.


He subsequently joined the service of the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR) Yaba, Lagos in 1987 as an Accountant and rose through the ranks to become a Director of Finance and Accounts in 2009, the position which he held till his exit from the organisation to join the services of the Mountain Top University as the pioneer Bursar in March 2016.


Mr. Olagundoye has attended numerous training within and outside Nigeria and some he had made paper presentations notably the training programme on Synergy between Nigerian Institute of Medical Research and Control Administration of one of the United States PEPFAR Programme Offices in Nigeria (APIN) and the various sites in the country, in Lagos from 25 th – 27 th October, 2008.
