Excitement as Mountain Top University Holds a Musical Concert.

Mountain Top University, on Friday, 15th July 2022, held a musical concert to celebrate the birthdays of the Chancellor, Dr Daniel K. Olukoya, and his wife, Dr (Mrs.) Folashade E. Olukoya, at the University Multipurpose Hall. The event, which was live-streamed, was free for staff, students, and well-wishers.  The Department of Music engaged the audience in a relaxed mood with songs and musical renditions. Performances, including a series of an orchestra, chorus, solo, duets, and worship medley, among others, were performed by the students of the Institution. The concert also featured pieces performed by the MTU Chorus, Band, Soloists, String Ensemble, and others.  

The musical pieces were epic, and it was clear that the performers had done justice to the event. The instrumentals were brilliantly delivered, as the players performed from melody to harmony effortlessly.  Prof. Elijah A. Ayolabi, the Vice-Chancellor of Mountain Top University, revealed that the musical concert was the maiden edition of the annual Mountain Top University musical concert.   According to him, this year’s concert is unique because it is a special dedication to Dr Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, the Chancellor of Mountain Top University and General Overseer, Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM) Worldwide, on the occasion of his 65th birthday.  The concert was a kaleidoscope of colours as the MTU chorus rendered gospel songs composed by Dr Olukoya. They performed four songs, including Ona to ro, Oke nla, Igba mi, and Hallelujah.   After the musical performances, a prayer session for the Chancellor was anchored by the University Chaplain, Pastor Olumide Adesina.  

The event was one for the books as dignitaries from different parts of the country attended physically and virtually. Present at the event were the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Elijah A. Ayolabi, other principal officers, staff and students of the University.  Once again, the entire university community cannot but celebrate a man whose life has had a tremendous impact, not only on our lives but on the world at large.

 It is also worthy of note that Dr Olukoya shares his birthday with his beautiful wife. It is our prayer that the Almighty God will continue to keep you both and replenish your strengths in good health and great wisdom.  Welcome to another milestone, Daddy & Mummy G.O.
