Mountain Top University Holds Workshop for Governing Council's Strategic Committees
The University Management or ganised a workshop for all the newly appointed members of the Governing Council ’s Strategic Commit tees in order to equip members of the com mittees with the necessary skills needed to function optimally. The workshop took place on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, and the theme of the workshop was “Formulating Strategy for a Faith-based Private University”.
The workshop was held in two sessions and was organised in conjunction with RTC Ad visory Services Limited, Lagos State, Nige ria. The Vice-Chancellor, Mountain Top Uni versity (MTU), Prof. Elijah Adebowale Ayolabi, speaking during the workshop stated that up skilling members of the committees and expanding their capabilities is fundamen tal. According to him, “The workshop is necessary for increased productivity of members of committees in other to facilitate effective ness and enable each committee to accom plish set goals.”Restating the commitment of the University Management to the human ca pacity development of her staff, Prof. Ayolabi said the workshop would go a long way in achieving the Terms of Reference of each committee.
Speaking at the workshop for the newly ap pointed members of the Governing Council’s Strategic Committees, the CEO, RTC Advisory Services Limited, Lagos, Mr. Opeyemi Agbaje remarked that every institution is different, and so the committee members consti tuted must learn to plot their way and develop their strategy. He stated further that the main objective of the training is to build the leadership capacity of staff members to support Mountain Top University’s Vision, Mission, and Strategic Goals. The Vice-Chancellor stressed the value the workshop would bring in building the leadership capacity of the members of committees to support Mountain Top University’s Vision and Mission Statement. The Deputy Vice Chancellor, Mountain Top University (MTU), Prof. Oladele John Akinyomi, gave the Vote of Thanks.
