The MTU Center for Gender Studies in conjunction with Chaplaincy unit Celebrates the 2024 International Day of the Girl-Child

The theme for this year's celebration is *Girls' Vision for the Future.* Focusing on the effective deployment of social media tools for the overall actualization of the hidden potentials of the Girl-Child, the guest speaker, Dr Chinyere A. Mbaka (Ag HOD Mass Communication) emphasised the need for girls not to be discriminated against based on their gender, pointing out that with the right mindset, support and empowerment, the Girl-Child will be a force to be reckoned with anywhere she finds herself.

We hereby reiterate the collective efforts of all and sundry for the realization of the task of safe-guarding the future of the Girl-Child.
