The MTU Center for Gender Studies (CGS) held its 2023 Gender Week Program on the 10th and 11th of May, 2023. The program kicked off on Wednesday, 2023 with the Gender Walk Advocacy with the caption “Say No to Gender-Based Violence.This was informed by the incessant number of deaths of victims, dysfunctional homes, emotional and mental instability, bullying, abuse, and tragedies arising from domestic and sexual based violence. The center decided to focus on the inherent nature and causes of the majority of Gender- Based Violence attributed to both male and female gender and ways to ameliorate them.

In the Gender Walk include our dear Vice Chancellor Prof Elijah Ayolabi, the University Libarian Dr Helen Akinade, Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Olanipeku Ojo, Director of Academic of Planning Dr. M.M. Ologundudu, Director of Center for Entrepreneurial and Development Dr. Patience Erigbe, Prof Adedun HOD Department of Languages, the MTU Gender Desk Officer and Chairperson Mountain Top University Center for Gender Studies Dr. Nelly A. Ndukwe,  the Camp  Commandant Prayer City (MFM) Pastor Richards Olumayowa amongst other important dignitaries.
