On Friday, 19th August 2022, Mountain Top University (MTU) held the foundation-laying ceremony for its proposed multi-million naira Elizabeth Olukoya Centre for Fine and Applied Arts.  

Prof. Elijah Ayolabi, the Vice-Chancellor of Mountain Top University, at the foundation-laying of the ceremony, said that making bold steps towards educational advancement was paramount.

 Prof. Ayolabi, citing the Book of Psalms: “When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion…” welcomed the dignitaries.

 The Vice-Chancellor appreciated the efforts of Dr (Mrs) Folashade E. Olukoya, whom he crowned as the person who opened the matrix, with the support of all the MFM Assistant General Overseers (AGOs) in Nigeria towards the actualisation of the project.

 He announced that efforts were in place to ensure the building was completed in record time and ready for full National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation come next year, 2023.  

Speaking on behalf of all MFM Assistant General Overseers (AGOs), Pastor Femi Ajila commended the AGOs and other stakeholders for their tenacity and doggedness toward the actualisation of the project. He further charged all MFM AGOs to beat the deadline for the completion of the project.  

The Special Guest of Honour, Dr (Mrs) Folashade E. Olukoya, the wife of the General Overseer, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Worldwide, stated that the purpose of the ceremony was to celebrate a vision that was conceived by the MFM AGOs.

 Dr (Mrs) Olukoya stated that walking in the Master’s footprint has always been her way of life, which has always worked for her. According to her, the ceremony was an act of leaving footprints for generations yet unborn.  

She reiterated her life as an artist and maintained that the project would conform to world-class standards and imbibe students for collaboration.  

The ceremony climaxed with the formal laying of the foundation stone by Dr (Mrs) Folashade E. Olukoya, wife of the General Overseer, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Worldwide.
